- The re-cementing machine enables the partially processed (on one side) semi-products which have returned from the polishing machine to be transferred to another cassette which is then used in the operation for cutting the second side.
- The semi-products designated for processing (cutting to shape and polishing to optical quality) are affixed to small metal rods (pins).
- Hot-melt adhesive consisting of a mixture of natural resins is used to affix the semi-products onto the small metal rods (pins).
- The adhesive is dosed onto the preheated end of the pins as a powder and it firmly affixes the semi-product after cooling.
- When reheated, this mixture goes soft and the semi-products can be freely removed.
- The heating is realised directly using an open flame from a gas burner operated by the operator either by means of a manual valve or an electronic valve using the buttons on the panel.
