Polishing machine

  • Is part of the cutting line
  • The cassettes with the semi-products affixed to the pins are inserted into the cassette holders and the facets which have been cut onto the semi-products in the previous operation are then polished under the set apical angle.
  • After each individual facet has been polished, the cassette holder is slightly raised, and all of the pins in the given cassette rotate around their own axis to the set angle.
  • Once all of the facets of each side of the semi-product have been polished, the cassette is transferred to the re-cementing machine and the stones are uncemented.
  • The multi-angle polishing of the semi-products is realised with a single clamping operation of the cassette thanks to the programmable tilting operations.
  • Plane polishing to ensure the perfect flatness of all the cut facets.
  • The complete polishing of the semi-product with a single clamping operation of the cassette eliminates inaccuracy arising from the transfer between individual cassette holders with different tilting angles.

Programmed movements:

  • Tilting the cassette holder – this designates the angle of the polished facets.
  • The rotation of the pins in the cassette – this designates the number of facets in a single plane.
  • The feed of the cassette holder to the polishing tool – this designates the size of the reduction during polishing.
  • The oscillating movements of the cassette holder – equal wear on the polishing tool along its entire working surface.
